faster loading, myriad CAD visualization options, analytical tools now available

KISTERS has integrated 3DViewStation with Dassault 3DExperience and SmarTeam, providing a faster, more advanced yet intuitive CAD visualization innovation.

3DExperience platform and SmarTeam users can enjoy short load times and extremely fast visualization performance -- even for very complex CAD models with millions of parts. Seamless integrations embed the 3DViewStation user interface (UI) within Dassault clients.

However, KISTERS CAD visualization software can run on its own or with a customized UI if clients prefer.

“The 3DViewStation product family gives customers the choice of using a desktop, web browser or VR… and all versions have comparable functionalities and APIs. Above all, they all share KISTERS’ proprietary graphics technology that enables ultra-fast performance, usability, integration flexibility via APIs,” said Jim Eardly, KISTERS North America Sales Manager.

Over the past 10 years and working closely with customers, more than 180 functions and no fewer than 150 settings have been added. Extensive tools include measurement, section, comparisons for clash clearance, in addition to wall thickness, draft angle, and undercut analyses. Eardly added the introduction of a discussion thread better supports review processes and collaboration.

Extensive and rich functionality is available for use in the latest Catia releases and many other CAD file formats such as NX, Creo, Inventor, Solidworks, JT, STEP to list a few. File formats can be used in combination with the intelligent navigation and hyperlinking features to address the needs of complex integration scenarios.

The veteran sales manager has seen a lot of innovations, but he’s particularly excited that 3DViewStation Desktop or WebViewer users can start a KISTERS Virtual Reality session instantly from their PLM systems, use voice recognition to record issues, automatically add preview images and comments to a PLM work item, and then forward this (information) to the next user. Downstream, a 3DViewStation WebViewer or Desktop user can review the notes and then, turn to their CAD system to resolve the found issue.
