The USGS, the University of Alabama, CIROH, and the Alliance for Coastal Technologies convene the Water Observing Technology Forum.

Since 2024, adoption and deployment of non-contact water monitoring technologies have increased. The 2026 gathering will consider these modern instruments with enhancements from artificial intelligence (AI).

A limited number of exhibitors and attendees are able to examine cutting-edge solutions up close – and with the resources of the U.S. Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility (HIF).

David Dalkin will be present to showcase water radar sensors, including portable innovations for ad hoc water velocity measurements and models for autonomous, continuous monitoring.
