Four Colors Technology, a KISTERS partner, has integrated 3DViewStation — bringing CAD visualization and analytical capabilities — into the Mendix platform, without launching a separate desktop application. Within the clean Mendix user interface, selected 2D and 3D CAD parts automatically and quickly load. High-performant and intuitive visualization invites interaction.

A full-screen button expands CAD views within a new window that features the 3DViewStation interface, including its full ribbon and toolbar. The complete range of more than 180 functions is available. Advanced options include measurement, sectioning, analyses, clash detection, model comparison, markup, project management, and detailed model inspection.

Potential use cases include digital product catalogs, service and maintenance applications, customer and supplier portals, product configurators, change review documentation, and bespoke engineering and manufacturing applications such as digital work instructions.
