Recap of KISTERS User Group Meeting, KUG 2010

September 29, 2010

Clients explain use of our enterprise IT solutions to manage various water data applications.

2010 marked the fifth year of the KISTERS’ users group meetings in North America. This year’s events celebrated past and present success in water data management.

Between the two meetings, a total of 15 customers presented their use of our enterprise IT solutions to address all types of water data processing needs, which vary from agency to organization. Presenters demonstrated sediment computations or configuration of contamination warning systems.

The Loews Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando, Florida hosted the main meeting. A dedicated Hydstra users meeting convened in southern California. The Ventura County Watershed Protection District was the venue. All attendees appreciated new insights into our products and exchanging ideas with peers.

Special thanks to the feature presenter Harry House, U.S. Geological Society. He described how the USGS Center for Integrated Data Analytics (CIDA) 1 uses Water Information Systems KISTERS (WISKI) for data integration and future use.

1 Note: The Center for Integrated Data Analytics (CIDA) no longer exists as an organizational unit with the USGS. Its employees are now part of the USGS Water Resources Mission Area. Questions about CIDA can be directed to Morgan Schneider at moschnei [at] usgs [dot] gov.
